THE MATCHES CD REVIEW . . .
E. Von Dahl Killed The Locals
The Matches first full-length album, E. Von Dahl Killed The Locals, is amazing. I originally found about The Matches when they were performing with Wakefield, Zebrahead, and Reel Big Fish. The fans immediately picked up on the music, and were nodding their heads to the beat. Their music is unbelievably catchy, and once you slip the CD into your CD player, it won't come out for awhile. I've been listening to it ever since I bought it at the show I saw them perform. The CD includes 11 very uptempo songs, such as Dog-Eared Page, Audio Blood, Chain Me Free, The Restless, Superman, Eryn Smith, Say 18, The Jack Slap Cheer, Destination: Nowhere Near, Sick Little Suicide, and Track 11. If you're interested in hearing Chain Me Free, Superman, or Audio Blood, you can head over to the band's MP3 page at http://www.mp3.com/thematches. The CD has been released, but not through a record label. However, quite a few record labels have shown interest in the band, including Atlantic, MCA, Island Def Jam, American Recordings, Lava, Interscope, and Ultimatum. You can buy the CD and find out more information on The Matches at their official site, www.thematches.com.
