3rd Tone Interview

Why don’t you girls tell us a little about yourselves?
Ally: We're an all-girl group out of a small town in Connecticut. We are Denise (14), Ally (14), Amy (13), and Amanda (13). We write all of our own songs and we're trying to make a demo.

Have you girls had voice lessons? If so, how many years have you taken them? Are you still taking them?
Denise: Amanda has taken voice lessons before. The rest of us havent. We will be taking them very soon, though.

When/how did you girls decide to become a group?
Amy: Well, Denise was talking to this guy online and he was telling her about how he was starting his own record label..So Denise decided she wanted to put a group together. So, the next day at school she asked me and our friend Jackie. Since Jackie didnt want to, we asked Ally to join. Then, about a month later we asked Amanda to join, too. We have been a band since.

What do you hope to accomplish with your music?
Amanda: We would just like to get to do what we love. We've all dreamed of this, and our dreams are finally coming true.

You girls are still normal teenagers, so what do you do for fun?
Denise: We do the same things we've always done. We all Love to shop and we all go to the mall together like every weekend. Ally plays basketball and Amy snowboards.

Do you currently have a demo out, or a full CD in the works?
Ally: We have about 40 songs written. It's crazy. We're working on our demo now and we're trying to find a company that will sign us.

Have you girls had to make any big sacrifices, yet?
Amy: Yes, just doing things with our other friends, when we know we have to practice. Practicing is definitely the down-side, but it is something we have to do.

If in a few years, you girls no longer are singing, what would you do? Would you still want to stay in some area of the music industry?
Ally: Definitely. I would love to be someone's manager, or start my own label and develop talent.
Amanda: I would still be singing

You're farther along than many upcoming bands your age. Do you have any tips for upcoming singers/bands?
Amy: Just keep focused and don't give up. Perfection takes practice and you won't get anywhere, if you don't try.

And last, but not least, if you could say anything to the fans reading or watching this now, what would you say?
Denise: We love you.

And that's it! Thanks for the interview! :)
3rd Tone: Thank you.
