Chapter 1 - Tour cancelled?

Their tour was scheduled to kick off in one week and they still haven’t found an opening act. “Man you know how much this is gonna suck if they can’t find us an opening act, then they are gonna cancel or postpone the tour,” Chris rambled on. The guys of the Group DreamStreet were due to go on a 2 and a half month tour but the only problem was that they could not find an opening act that could come along for the tour. They all sat in Chris's hotel room just hanging out while they waited for Lou to tell them whether the tour was going to be canceled, postponed, or actually be a go. Matt and Frankie were playing XBOX. Greg was asleep one of the beds. Chris was rambling on while looking through a magazine. Last but not least was Jesse who was sitting at the desk in the room, checking his e-mail and browsing the web. His eyes were getting tired of reading text when he spotted something that sparked his interest. It was a Webpage Pop-up reading: Announcing the hot new singer Lita and her hit single “Baby Bye”. Jesse opened up Morpheus and searched for her song. Once he found the song “Baby Bye” he started to download it. While he waited for the song to download he went and looked up info about her. He stumbled upon her official website. “Hey Chris, Check out this girl,” he said. Chris got up and set his magazine on the bed he was laying on and walked over to where Jesse was on his computer. Chris looked at the website, “Damn who is she, She’s hot,” Chris said starring at the picture of Lita. Jesse Smiled, “Maybe we can get her to open for us.” “That could work if she’s not already on tour with another band,” Chris said smiling to himself. “Hey guys,” Jesse called, “check this girl out.” Frankie and Matt paused the game and got up to walk over to the computer. “Wow who is she?,” Matt asked with interest. Jesse smiled as he opened Morpheus back up to see that the song was downloaded. “OK guys let’s see if this girl can sing,” he said as he pressed play. An upbeat tempo emitted from the computer. “ohh ohh Baby bye... Baby bye.. ha ha...

“Wow,” they all said at the same time. “We should call Lou and see if he can get her to come on tour with us,” Frankie said. Jesse picked up the phone and dialed Lou’s Number. After about 2 rings Lou picked up the phone, “Hello, Lou Here.” “Hey Lou it’s Jesse I was wondering if you found us an opening act yet?” Lou sighed, “No not yet I’m sorry guys I don’t think I’m gonna be able to get anyone I’m gonna keep trying though.” “Well we found someone that we want to open for us her name is Lita and she’s on Epic Records,” Jesse said while looking at her webpage. “Alright I’ll give them a call and see if I can get her on the tour,” Lou said “I’ll call you back with the news,” he said before hanging up and calling Epic records. Jesse hung up the phone. They stood around reading stuff on Lita when Lou called back. Jesse picked it up, “Hello?” “Hey Jesse it’s Lou I called Epic and ....” Lou paused for a moment, “We leave to pick Lita and her dancers up tomorrow!” “ARE YOU SERIOUS, guys she’s gonna tour with us, Thanks so much Lou gotta go,” Jesse said as he hung up the phone. “OK I think we need to get packed so I’ll see you guys later,” said Matt as he walked to his and Frankies’ room. The guys spent the rest of the day packing and hanging out until about 9:30 when they went to bed.
