Hi. My name is Kristin and I met Dream Street at FYE on February 9, 2002. I woke up at 6:50 am that day, so excitedly! I went on the Internet to talk to friends before I would go and once again meet one of myf avorite bands. The time finally came and my mom shouted to get ready. I put on my cool DS shirt and a pair of abercrombie jeans and did my hair and make-up.Then I grabbed my signs, notes, candies, and pictures for autographs and we left at 9:35. I put on the DS cd and we listened to it non-stop the whole time.We went to McDonald's for a quick breakfast and ate in the car. It was about 45 minutes to get there so we just looked at DS magazines and stuff like that.Finally, when we saw the sign for the mall, we were so happy. My mom told me to go save a spot in line while she and my sisters parked the car. I ran out andsaw a line about half a block long! It was 10:20 then. We waited in the coldfor almost two hours! I talked to other fans, discussing the new movie, 'The Biggest Fan' and shared other DS stories and talked about our favorite member. It was really fun, and DS fans are really nice. By the time it was 11:00, I decided to go into a bookstore to look for some DS magazines. So my sister andI went in and my mom and my other sister stayed in line. They didn't have a single DS magazine in that store! So we went into FYE, where DS would be in about an hour. FYE had a great display of stuff, like Dream Street's CD, their Official Magazine, Posters, and the new Sugar Rush single. I was seriously amazed by all this stuff they had put out. The store had even decorated its windows with posters, which I later found out they did that so fans couldn't peek in and get a glimpse of DS and start banging on the windows. My sister andI left to go see how long the line was now. It was like 2 blocks long now! By the time it was 11:45, we heard girls screaming, thinking they saw DS. About ten minutes later, their bus came by! Now, we were screaming! Some girl who was in front of the line wasn't thinking and ran after it. She was mad when she lost her place in line! We heard more screaming and we found out DS was inthere and the line started to move. And move. My sisters and I were freakingout so much! We talked to a lady whose daughter met them like 20 times! She took her daughter all over the country! That was just weird. Finally, when we got closer to the store, we heard girls freaking out more than we were as theyleft. Some common phrases were, Omigosh! Omigosh! Omigosh! He kissed me! and They are so hot!. Now it was 12:10. The security guard let us into FYE and we were directed into a long line that curved around the store. The line was going through all the aisles and we had no way of seeing DS. So I read my DS magazine and waited in the store for another hour. We were starting to get close now, really close! When it was just me and two girls in front of me who I had talked to earlier, Chris left! Some guards escorted him to the back of the store. All the girls started screaming and I noticed his big hair! It was so tall, like four inches and whoa! The security guard said to us, Chill out, he just has to go to the bathroom, and we were so relieved. He came back and sat down and all the girls were cheering and Jesse was cracking up. Then, the girls in front of me had their turn to go and meet them. The security guard closed the door on us,so now we could see Jesse! He had a new hairdo and it looked good! He hadbraces on his top teeth as well. The security guard opened up and said, Go ahead, and I took out my pictures. My sister was holding the bag now that had all my stuff in it, including my candy that I was gonna give to Chris. So, Jesse was first in line and I said, Hey, and he didn'tsay anything. I handed him the poster and he signed it but in the middle of hislast name he stopped and punched Matt while he was hugging a girl, causing Mattto fall and the girl to fall too! It was funny. I said to Jesse, ;Can Ihave my picture with you? and he stood up and grabbed me and put his arm around my waist and my mom took the picture. I said, Thank you so much Jesse! and he didn't answer again. Next was Matt. He had spiked up hishair and it looked really cute. I said, Hi, and he said something but I can't remember what. He signed my poster and I asked him for a picture and he said yes. He stood up and put his arm around my shoulder and I leaned inand the camera went click! I said thanks and I was on my way to Greg. He had bleached the top of his hair, and it looked different. But good! So he signed my poster and was talking to Frankie so I couldn't say anything. I wanted my picture with him really badly so I said, Hey can I have a picture with you? and he didn't hear I guess so I asked him again and he didn't hear another time and Frankie was laughing at him by now and tells him what I said.Then he goes, 'Ohhhhsorry, sure,' and he stands up and I lean in. I said thank you and he nodded. Frankie was next in line. He said, Hi, and I said Hey what's up, and he goes, Nothing, here ya go,and hands me the poster he signed. I ask him for a picture and he just puts his arms around me and does that smile that everyone loves! His hair looked cute,too. I said thanks and moved onto Chris. This is where my story goes bad. My sister, who likes Chris the best, decided to give Chris my candy that I bought for him and said, Here this is for you Chris, and he said,Aww, thanks, and he puts it on the table behind him. She asked for a picture and he said ya and he leans over and kisses her on the cheek because she gave him my candy. Ok that would've been my kiss I hope you know! Now itwas my turn to meet Chris so I said hey and he said hey and I asked him for the picture he said ya and he put his arms around me and did that cute little smile! I said thanks and grabbed my poster that he signed. My littlest sister who is 5 likes Chris too. So my mom goes, Katherine, are you going to get your picture taken with Chris? and she hides behind my mom and says no.Chris laughs and says, Aww, come on Katherine! And she still hides back there! Chris says, Please Katherine? and she still says no,and he does this oh-so-cute little frown and I laugh. I say, Buh bye! and he says, See ya later! And we were rushed out and had to go. That was a great day and I hope I'll get to meet them another time!I love DS!
