It was a Saturday and I was so excited, because I was going to get to see my 5 favorite boys!! I got up
kinda early and started to get ready...at about 12 or so Chris called me to "Check In" and tell me that
they were at the airport, their plane had just gotten in....I kept getting ready, and at 1 I called
Barry, who works for edel Entertainment...and found out what time the boys were leaving the hotel, and
what time I needed to be there...so my friend and I finished getting ready and hit the road. It was
about a 30 min drive to their hotel, and we had to be there at 2!! So of course we get stuck in MAJOR traffic
and it takes us FOREVER to get there...we almost didn't make it by 2, which would have been ok, because
we didn't leave the hotel till about 4 anyway! When I got out of my car I met Barry, who was with Jamie
Lynn Sigler...I got to meet her, and she was very nice. (She is also on edel...ya know she's Meadow from
the Sopranos...) My friend Meghan and I walked into the lobby of the hotel with Barry and Jamie, and in
the lobby were all the "Moms" and Claudia, Brian, Louie, and some other people. Everyone was glad to see
me, especially Maryann (Greg's mom), she had been helping me figure out if I was going to get to come or
not! She was glad to see that I did get to come! I gave hugs all around, and caught up with how everyone
was. I was told that they boys had gone to check out the weight room, and should be back any minute. Right
about then they came around the corner. First was Matt, and I got a big hug, then was Jesse, who also gave
me a great big hug, then Frankie...the same, a big ol hug!! Then there was Chris...he attacked me, almost
knocking me over, in one of the biggest hugs ever...then Greg goes "GROUP HUG!!!" and they all jumped on
me...Meghan's first impression of DS was them attacking me, haha...but that's the boys!! We were supposed to
leave then, but the van wasn't there yet...so we all hung out in the lobby for a while. Then the boys all
went upstairs to change...so me and Meghan just hung out in the lobby for a while...then once the boys got ready,
they all came back down again. We all then hopped in my car and went to the gas station that was right down
the street, since we still had like over an hour before the van was going to come. When we were all just hanging
out in the lobby I called my friend Kari (aka Brownie) and had all the guys talk to her. They were being so
crazy and funny...it was hysterical...first Jesse was himself, then Greg was "Frankie", then Frankie was
"Greg", then Jesse was "Chris", then Greg was talking in Spanish, then Matt got on the phone trying to be
someone..but ended up just being him, then Chris got on the phone, and was Chris...we were all laughing SO
hard, it was great! Once the vans got there we all went to the place where the concert was being held. Also at
the concert was, Dante Thomas, Jennifer Paige, Michelle Branch, Smashmouth, and LFO...when we got there,
we all went into the guys dressing room. We just hung out in there for a little bit and then they started to
warm up...first they "Went out for a run", but didn't really run, then they all started to sing. They
sang "Sugar Rush", "Matter of Time", and one other song (maybe "I Say Yeah"?) acapella...we were singing
along, even the moms were! Then the guys went out to practice, and Meghan and I hung out with the guys
Mom's...then it was time for the show! Meghan and I were watching from the side of the stage, because there
was a mix up, we didn't have tickets...we saw the guys sing "They Don't Understand", "Let's Get Funky
Tonight", "I Say Yeah", "Hooked On You", and "Feel The Rain"....they might have done "Gotta Get The Girl",
but I can't remember...halfway through the show, we got
kicked out from backstage, because no one had ever given us passes...luckily we found Barry and Jamie out in
the audience and he gave us passes to get backstage again. I had quite an argument with the security guy before
he threw us out. The guys were supposed to get to sing "It Happens Every Time" as an encore...but there
wasn't enough time, so they didn't get to sing the single...everyone was pretty upset...fans, the moms,
the guys, everyone...so me and Meghan go backstage again, and find the guys in their dressing room. Then we
all went into what I am going to call the Green Room, where they had the catering and what not. So the guys
got food and we all sat down at a table. (For those of you who care...I sat in between Jesse and Frankie, Chris
was across from me and Meghan sat across from Jesse, next to Chris...Matt came and sat down later on next to
Chris, across from Frankie...but I don't know where Greg was, haha) Then Chris and I got up to go talk, we
went and sat on a couch for a few minutes...and he was explaining some things to me. Then we found Greg,
they had a basketball arcade game thing, and he was playing that...so all the guys came in there eventually and
played basketball FOREVER...Greg got the higest score, then Frankie...we laughed and laughed, it was a lot of fun.
Michelle Branch came in there and was playing with us, as was Jamie. It was a blast. Then we left and all
went downtown. We walked around forever, and just went in stores and had a blast. We kept trying to get into
a kareoke place, we wanted the guys to sing, but not all of them wanted to do it, and we couldn't find a place
that would let them in. (Since the majority of us are under age!) We walked by bars and listened to music,
listened to the people playing on the streets, went in the tourist shops, and just walked and talked...it was
so much fun, I don't think I have laughed that hard in a really long time! Then we went to eat at a pizza
place, I was sitting with Jesse, Frankie, and Meghan, but Chris got mad that I hadn't gone to sit with him
(Greg took my spot!), so I sat with him at another table...the pizza wasn't very good! haha...then it
was time to go back to their hotel, so we got back in the vans and went to the hotel. We got back at about
midnight, and there were a few fans in the lobby, who had been waiting there for about 2 hours...the guys
signed autographs, and we said bye to them...they all had early flights in the morning. All in all, it was
a great day with my boys, and I had lots of fun!!! **For those of you who don't believe this is true...it
is...I am friends with the boys (through 3rd Faze) and I got to see them when they came to Nashville, which
is where I go to school. All that I told you is true...and if you dont' believe me...that's ok, i've got the
pictures to prove it ;)
